In the early 90s, Cash Money Records was founded by Birdman and Slim. The label began with the hopes of making the major waves we now know them to have made- hit records, awards and tours -but it took a while. For the first few years, most of the moves the label made went pretty unnoticed outside of its local bubble. Still, the label signed almost every artist from every corner, from the bigger names, Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj, to Jay Sean and Bow Wow.
