Recently, former Roc-A-Fella Records artist Memphis Bleek did an interview and said he tried to warn Dame Dash about the fall of Roc-A-Fella, and how the industry would turn its back on him and cut him off.
Dash immediately responded to Bleek’s statements in a follow up interview on another show, saying Bleek was lying, and said quote – there is no cutting me off, I’m doing my own thing.
Dash went on to say that he was purposely kept from having control of Roc-A-Fella.
While rumors about what caused the collapse of the Roc have circulated for over a decade, the label’s fellow co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke recently told Complex the intent was to sell the company once they raised its value.
