January 25th, 2000 hit my pockets hard as three classics was released on the same day.

Ghostface Killah released his second album “Supreme Clientele.” The album, which is considered by many argueably his best album featured the singles “Apollo Kids” featuring Raekwon and “Cherchez La Ghost” featuring U-God. “Cherchez” was Ghost’s biggest solo mainstream hit, peaking at Number 3 at on the Billboard Rap Charts.

The Lox finally broke away from Puff Daddy and Bad Boy Records after launching a campaign to be released from their contract from the label. In celebration the trio released their sophomore album “We Are The Streets” on Ruff Ryders Records. The album features the singles “Wild Out” and “I Need A Ryde or Die Chick” featuring Eve. Most people consider track number 2 as their favorite.

And finally, D’Angelo released his long-awaited second LP “Voodoo.” The album features the track “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” & “Devil’s Pie” featuring Method Man & Redman. The album is also considered by many his best work.
