Ronda Rousey has kept quiet since losing to Holly Holm almost a month ago, but her silence ends with a new cover of ESPN The Magazine.

In the issue, which hits newsstands this Friday, Ronda discussed the loss and coming to terms with not being able to retire undefeated. At the time of the interview, she still had stitches dissolving in her lip, likely a result of the match-ending kick to the face that left the Ultimate Fighting Championship superstar unconscious. The hurt she suffered isn’t ending anytime soon, however. She revealed it may be awhile before she can even think about getting in the ring again, admitting, “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.”

But when the time comes, it sounds like a rematch might be in the works.

I’m just really f-cking sad. I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I’m going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to f–king do it,” she said.

Despite the heart-wrenching loss, Rousey is feeling far from defeated, saying, “Maybe I can’t do it all before my prime, before my body is done. But f-ck it, maybe I can.”

When Ronda does come back, it’ll surely be with a vengeance.
