Tupac’s biopic is getting a new director.  The production company Morgan Creek is behind the Tupac Shakur movie, and recently announced they’re hiring Benny Boom to take on the role as new director.  He’ll be replacing John Singleton, who dropped out of the position back in April.  Morgan Creek is currently rushing to get the rapper’s biopic done, given that the music rights to Tupac’s songs will revert back to Shakur’s mother at the end of the year if the film isn’t in production by then.  Boom is known for several projects on the big screen, including Summit’s 2009 action comedy “Next Day Air” and “S.W.A.T.: Firefight.”
