For retailers, Black Friday marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season and is the biggest day for sales. Mall parking lots and stores are jam-packed with shoppers looking for the next best deal. Each year retailers have been setting their hours earlier in order to gain more profits, with the bargain shopping starting Thanksgiving Day.

However, retail giant Target’s best Black Friday shopping was done online. The top three items for the retailer were: Apple iPads, Apple watches, and the new Wii U.

Apple iPad: according to Target, an iPad sold roughly every second on Thanksgiving Day through their online platform.

Apple Watch: the watch was equally popular in-store as well.

Wii U: gaming consoles are always popular, so the new Nintendo release was unsurprisingly one of the top items for online shoppers.
