There is an update on the court case against Busta Rhymes after an incident with a gym employee.

According to The New York Times, Busta pleaded guilty to harassment in Manhattan Criminal Court this morning (Nov. 6).

The plead came following a deal the rapper made with prosecutors, according to The deal was to dismiss a complaint, which happened at Steel Gym in Chelsea. In August, the Brooklyn rapper was accused of throwing a bottle of Muscle Milk at a gym employee.

Rhymes was arrested after the altercation and charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

The Steel Gym employee received a bruise to his head after a dispute between the two. The Manhattan district attorney’s office reduced the charge to misdemeanor assault. They later agreed to allow Bus to plead guilty to harassment, which is a violation, on the condition that he attend anger management classes.

After the judgement, Rhymes noticed fans outside, whom he greeted. His lawyer also commented on the incident. “The criminal charges, especially charging him with a felony, was a bunch of bull,” Busta’s lawyer Scott Leemon said. “Busta and I are glad the district attorney’s office agreed to drop all the criminal charges.
