Ludacris extends his Hollywood resume with a new opportunity for a CBS show.
Ludacris and Ryan Seacrest are slated to executively produce a television program, according to a report from Variety.
The Down Beat is being developed by Paul Downs Colaizzo, who has an overall deal with the network. Nina Wass joins Ludacris and Seacrest as an executive producer.
The show is scheduled to take place in Atlanta and portray a former businessman who seeks to give young men an alternative to the gang life through the local high school marching band.
Colaizzo is also working on an untitled show about a policeman in Pittsburgh.
Ludacris has acting credits for the Fast and Furious movie series and he has appeared in Empire and Being Mary Jane.
