We want you, the listener of Boom 107.9, to pick and decide which album was your favorite/best album of the 5, and we will play it in its entirely this evening. Outkast – Aquemini

Outkast always delivered when it came to albums, but Aquemini is definitely a classic in it’s own right. A follow up to ATLiens, sold over 2 million albums and was ranked #500 on the list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All-Time Ranked by Rolling Stone.

Jay Z – Vol.2…Hard Knock Life

Prior to 2013, this was Hov’s most successful album when it came to commercial success. Not only did the album go 5x platinum, it even won a Grammy for Best Rap album.

Black Star – Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star

Two of hip-hop’s underground favorites, Talib & Mos finally came together and gave the fans one album, but they did not disappoint!

A Tribe Called Quest – The Love Movement

After a celebrated run as one of the best hip-hop groups of their time, Tribe finally called it quits after the release of The Love Movement, their 5th and final album.

T.I. – Paper Trail

Tip began to write songs for this album as he awaited trial for federal weapons and possession charges. Selling over 3 million copies, Paper Trail is T.I.‘s highest selling album to date and spawned monster singles like “Swagga Like Us”, “Whatever You Like”, and “Live Your Life”.
