Act Like You Know is the third album released by the legend MC Lyte. It was released on this day in 1991. The album had a softer, more R&B-like sound than her previous more hardcore albums like Lyte as a Rock & Eyes on This.
The project featured some major producers from the likes of Audio Two, The 45 King, Epic Mazur, and Richard Wolf.
The album peaked at #102 on the Billboard charts, but two singles made it high on the charts, “When In Love” made it to #3, while “Poor Georgie” made it to #1 on the Hot Rap Singles chart.
