After 16 brilliant years on Comedy Central satirizing the news and building platforms for some of today’s biggest actors, comedians and social commentators, Jon Stewart has finally aired his farewell episode on “The Daily Show.” Last night’s episode was filled with appearances from the show’s memorable personalities including Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Kristen Schaal, Samantha Bee and of course, Stewart’s successor, Trevor Noah. Throughout his last taping, Stewart gave heartfelt comments about his love for the program and the need for viewers to stay critical of misinformation in the media.
