Yesterday (July 22), a report about Eminem joining an upcoming N.W.A. world tour had social media and hip hop fans excited. The tour would serve, in part, as promotion for Straight Outta Compton, the upcoming biopic about the legendary rap group.
In a short statement issued to Rolling Stone, a representative for both Eminem and Dr. Dre stated “that despite reports to the contrary, the pair have no plans to tour together either solo or with N.W.A.”
The news comes less than two weeks after it was announced that Dre would helm Compton‘s soundtrack, and that he had already secured contributions from both Eminem and fellow Compton product Kendrick Lamar.
