Tyrese is really trying to be more conscious about the messages that he puts out lately.

However, despite what jokes I may have about some of the statements he makes on social media, he has created a product that actually speaks volumes to a serious issue–domestic violence (which he has been accused of by his ex-wife). The product I’m talking about is the trailer for Shame, a forthcoming shot film, which was produced by Denzel Washington and directed by Paul Hunter, an named after Ty’s song of the same title.

In the film, Tyrese plays a 1968-era family man, and an up and coming musician who wants to treat his wife (played by Jennifer Hudson) right, but can’t get it together. The trailer focuses on Ty’s character’s demons, and abusive behavior.

Check it out:

The full 23-minute film hasn’t been given a release date, but Tyrese’s next album, Black Rose, will be out on July 10, so, it’s probably safe to assume that we can expect the movie to come with that release.
