Boom Moment In Hip-Hop (May 27th)
Today we celebrate the birthday’s of two of hip-hops all time greats, Andre 3000 and Jadakiss. Both rappers were born May 27, 1975, Jadakiss in New York, 3000, in Georgia. Each artist signifies a great area in hip-hop for both their regions. Jadakiss has been holding down the East Coast and New York since the Biggie Smalls area, while Andre 3000 and Outkast were at the forefront of the southern hip-hop movement in the late 90’s early 2000’s.

Both artists were part of two of hip-hops most popular groups, with Jadakiss and The Lox & Andre and Big Boi forming Outkast.

2003-2004 years were some major peaks in both artists careers. In 03-04, Andre and Outkast released one of their biggest singles of all time, “Hey Ya!”, as well as winning album of the year. While Jadakiss released his solo album Kiss Of Death, which featured his most successful and controversial single’s “Why?” Both artists are considered hip-hop elites, and still garner attention from fans of all ages when they crack the mic, whether it’s performing their greatest hits, or the anticipation of new material.
