Tika Sumpter just landed the role of a lifetime. The rising actress will play a young First Lady Michelle Obama alongside Parker Sawyers (Zero Dark Thirty) in Southside With You that will highlight the summer in 1989 when the first couple met.
Michelle and Obama went to the Art Institute of Chicago to watch Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing and shared their first kiss outside an ice cream parlor.
