Despite blockbuster sales and insane popularity, the film version of the best-selling novel series, Fifty Shades of Grey, was met with lackluster response at the box office when the movie opened this past February. Thankfully, comedian Marlon Wayans is prepared to save the day with his spoof, Fifty Shades of Black, due out in 2016.

Wayans is no stranger to spoofs, gifting us with such classics as Don’t Be a Menace to Society While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, Haunted House, and Haunted House 2. For his foray into Fifty Shades, Wayans will once again join forces with IM Global, producer/writer Rick Alvarez, and director Mike Tiddes, the same team behind the Haunted House films.

Wayans had this to say about the new project: “Sex and comedy go hand-in-hand, and I’m looking forward to having fun with this project. It’s amazing when a film of this caliber comes along begging to be made fun of.”

Will we get a remix of the remix of Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” with Fifty Shades of Black? Please say yes.
