Camera phone lights give the room life. An orchestra of voices echoes from wall to wall. Anticipation is in the air. Then, it all stops.

Simultaneously the sounds of an angelic yet raspy voice is projected behind the curtain. The voice stops. The curtain is drawn open, and the crowd screeches to the top of their lungs to sing along. Jazmine Sullivan has hit the Theatre of Living Arts Stage, for a second sold out show off her “Reality Show Tour”.

Led by Music Director Aliandro Prawl, the show was not only delighting to watch but stellar in sound as well! Drums were played by young Philadelphia native Treway, who demolished his drum set on stage. Everett Gray provided the eclectic guitar sounds for the evening and shared an intimate solo performance with Sullivan for a song entitled “Forever Don’t Last”. This one was an audience favorite as cell phones were pulled out and fans channeled their inner American idol voice to pitch in on the ad libs. Bass was covered by the groovy Andre “Dre” Pinckney who danced and played his bass from song to song.

The intimate show housed fans on both the upper and lower levels of the TLA and was nothing less than a party for Sullivan to continue to express her trials, tribulations and most importantly her music for her fans.
