Superintendent Dr. William R. Hite announced earlier this morning at a news conference that The School District of Philadelphia “WILL OPEN” in September but with temporary “service reductions.”
The reductions include:
- High school students who live within two miles of school will not receive transportation support. This will impact about 7,500 students at district, charter, and non-public schools.
- Less frequent cleaning of schools, fewer cleaning supplies, and delayed repairs at schools.
