The San Antonio Spurs have advanced to the NBA Finals after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 112-107 in overtime. They will face the Miami Heat for a second year in a row and will be looking for revenge after blowing last year’s NBA Finals Game 6 when Ray Allen hit a desperation 3 in the final seconds, which the Spurs would have won the title if they had held on to the lead in the final seconds of the game. The Game 6 momentum win catapulted the Heat to the title in defeating San Antonio in 7 games. For Miami, they advanced the previous night after defeating the Indiana Pacers. It is Miami’s fourth straight trip to the NBA Finals to compete for the NBA’s most prized possession, the championship trophy.
