Every time you turn on the news or hop on your twitter feed to see what’s going on in the world, you’re bombarded with negative nouns (negative people, places, things, and ideas) that make you say, “Damn this world is crazy.” From senseless acts of violence, to social media wars over subliminal tweets which didn’t even involve the war twitter mongers who can’t wait for today’s beef. Or how about the folks out there who thought It was a wonderful idea to dress up like Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman for halloween, then post the pictures on Facebook assuming the entire world agrees with their mind-numbing idea of a joke. Lebron drops his latest shoe the Lebron 11’s, which cost more than your average e-reader, and your rent goes up because the landlord needs an extra buck. Does Nike or Lebron care? NOPE. Rockstar releases GTAV online and as soon as you enter their virtual world, you get robbed by a 13 year old boy with a monkey mask on. Oh and lets not forget about the Russian flesh eating drug that’s finally hit U.S. Shores.
Good people, this world is going to the birds and there is nothing we can do about it. But how do we stay sane in such a crazy world? Here are a few remedies to keep the mind from going completely crazy, due to this nutty place we call earth.
1. Wooosssaaaahhhh
Every so often life deserves one big Wooosaahhhh! Thanks to Martin Lawrence and Will Smith “the woosah” has become a bonafide way to release the stress of a crazy world. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and just let it out. WOOOSSAAHHHHH. That ought to tame the negative nouns and this crazy ass world.
2. Cat Videos
Who doesn’t love seeing the local neighborhood cat act a fool for the cameras. Cat videos have become such a popular stress reliever, there are motion picture length funny cat compilations flooding youtube. If the world seems to be a place you just can’t handle anymore, pull up a funny cat compilation and be overwhelmed by incredible cat cuteness!
3. Best Vines Ever
There’s nothing better than a 7-second video with barely any meaning or purpose, except to make your life way better. Vine’s are like the chocolate ice cream in the middle of the napoleon carton; that’s really the only flavor you wanted in the first place. Vine’s also come in motion picture length on twitter, but watching an hour vine compilation could result in you losing a friend or two.
4. Anything Kid President
This kid is amazing! He will instantly make your world better. If you ever need a little encouragement hit up his youtube page (Soul Pancake), he’ll never let you down. It’s a crazy world and all he wants you to do is dance!
5. Selfies with Strangers
What makes the world go round, better than a Selfie? Obviously, Selfies with Strangers of course! Taking selfies can just about cure any aching heart , but taking selfies with strangers can change the world! If you can’t take it with this crazy world any longer, grab your cell phone, rush to the nearest metropolitan area and get to clicking!
When the world can seem to be too much, all we need is a little laughter to keep us sane. I hope this is a start to your world getting a little better :)
