John Boehner and the House republicans are trying very hard to dig themselves out of the whole of a government shutdown today, by finally taking measures to end the Government Shutdown. Senate leaders have agreed to a deal which will not only open the Government, it will also make sure that our debt obligations are met so the country does not default on its loans.
According to CNN.com the deal would reopen the government, funding it until January 15th. It would also raise the debt limit until February 7th, which means the debt ceiling debate will take place again early next year.
