2 Chainz just previewed a new song called “I Do It” as part of a promotional video for Beats By Dre today. The video shows 2 Chainz grabbing a sledgehammer and crushing a pair of generic in-ear headphones. The message is simple: “#DESTROYBADSOUND.” The video ends with Beats announcing a 10% discount on their headphones for trading in an old pair.

The song itself sounds like it has the potential to be a hit. In the chorus, 2 Chainz says “My trigga finger keeps itching/I’ll pull it, I do it.” The song will appear on 2 Chainz’s upcoming sophomore release, B.O.A.T.S. 2: Me Time, and will sport appearances from both Lil Wayne and Drake. “I Do It” is co-produced by teenage sensationWondaGurl and D. Rich, and is one of two placements the rising star from Toronto has on the album.

B.O.A.T.S. 2: Me TIme is set for a September 10 release. Meanwhile, 2 Chainz will be performing tonight at the MTV Video Music Awards. While he is expected to perform lead single “Feds Watching,” it is possible that he might give fans a live preview of this new song, especially with Drake already set to perform at the awards as well. Check out the new song above.
