Last Saturday was all about The 6th Annual Roots Picnic! And thanks to Philly 360 I got all your backstage and on stage exclusive footage. I have made it a tradition to make sure I attend every Roots Picnic for some of us in the creative community in Philly, it’s a chance to reunite. The backstage area provides the perfect location for all kinds of reunions. Vitamin Water provides endless libations throughout the day, the food tent stays crowded, and if that’s too crowded for you there is a food truck parked outside selling your favorite platters. There is even a basketball court, which this year was mainly occupied by Trinidad James, his homies and Solange’s son, Juelz. As a matter of fact I decided to put my producer hat on and put some of my celebrity friends to work to do MY job. Watch as Marsha Ambrosius interviews Grammy Award winning musician (and my favorite album of 2012 Black Radio), Robert Glasper. I also get Philly’s big brother Charlie Mack to interview his boys, Naughty By Nature.
