It’s been 16 years since the death of arguably the greatest rapper of all-time, the Notorious B.I.G., and Vibe decided to take a look back at an artist whose lyrics are as unmatched as well as his sense of style and his love for the Australian clothing brand Coogi. Vibe breaks down the beginning of the Coogi brand and how Biggie’s influence made the clothing popular in hip hop urban culture. However, B.I.G. was not the first to rock the Coogi sweater look. That title goes to famous tv dad Bill Cosby on the 80’s tv show, The Cosby’s. The show gave the clothing brand exposure on a national level before Christopher Wallace got a hold of them in the early 90’s.
