Sources at ESPN are reporting that the New York Yankees are looking for ways to sever ties with Alex Rodriguez over new performance enhancing drug allegations.

A story in the Miami New Times lists A-Rod among the athletes who purchased controlled substances from a Miami “wellness clinic” run by nutritionist Anthony Bosch.  According to the article, Rodriguez’s name appeared in Bosch’s records 16 times as the recipient of HGH and other PEDs banned by Major League Baseball. The Yankees are currently locked into a five-year, $114 million contract with the three-time American League MVP, but his skills have been on the decline.

This is the latest news of PED use in sports since cyclist Lance Armstrong finally admitted that he’d been doping throughout his career.
