Slain rapper Nipsey Hussle was laid to rest on Thursday, during his homegoing celebration, his good friend, Karen Civil read a letter by former president Barack Obama.
In the letter, President Obama spoke about getting to know Nipsey through music that his daughter’s shared with him and spoke about Nipsey’s achievements.
President Obama also urged the community to continue to good work within the community of Crenshaw and communities like it.
Over 20,000 people attending the services at the Staples Center on Thursday. Speakers at the service included Nipsey’s family members, Lauren London, Snoop Dogg, and YG.
