According to Philly Voice, Oct. 26 will mark 100 years since the opening of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Philadelphia will be celebrating a century of havingt the parkway with a block party on the 26th with a ton of activities!
The celebration will include plenty of food opportunities. Some of the city’s best food trucks will be in attendance, and birthday cake will be served at the Franklin Institute. The Sisters Cities Park will also be available for those of you who want to bring your own food, and the Free Library of Philadelphia will open its rooftop beer garden, and the Rodin Museum will have its featured Parisian themed garden bar open to the public.
You would think the Parkway Soirée would be done treating their guests, but that is not all the function will have to offer. The West Philadelphia Orchestra will perform at the Moore College of Art & Design! Cultural institutions around the Parkway Soirée will also offer special programming.
If you aren’t there October 26th at the Parkway Soirée, where else will you be?
