Can we say give LL Cool J the best week award? After receiving his degree from Harvard, now LL has received a new accomplishment also.

He is becoming the first rapper ever to be honored by the Kennedy Center. The Kennedy Center Honors is seen as the highest honor an entertainer can receive in America.

LL will receive the honor over the weekend and it will be broadcast on CBS, Tuesday, December 26th. The Queens native has recorded 14 studio albums, won two Grammy awards, has hosted the Grammy ceremony and has a long list of acting credits including his current on NCIS Los Angeles.

He posted on socials that, “I believe that we are built to do anything we put our minds and proper actions to. This one is for those who came before me and those who follow me.”

Congrats to LL Cool J, this is such a major accomplishment and we are very proud of him!
