Singer Janelle Monae is set to appear in Amazon produced anthology series called, Electric Dreams. The series is based on the writing of author Philip K. Dick. The sci-fi feature will air ten episodes, including one tiled Autofac, which will star Janelle as Alexis.

“Society and the world as we know it has collapsed. A massive, automatic factory operates according to the principles of consumerism; humans consume to be happy, and to consume continuously, they must be denied freedom of choice and free will. When a small band of rebels decide to shut down the factory, they discover they may be the perfect consumers after all.”

The series co-stars Nick Eversman David Lyons and Juno Temple. Electric Dreams has started to air in the United Kingdom but, will become available to Amazon Prime members in 2018.
