After two years of assault accusations, the case that accused Bill Cosby of drugging and molesting a woman at his home in 2004, was declared by Judge Steven O’Neill this morning as a mistrial.  The Jurors who consisted of five women and seven men were unable to come to unanimous decision in the courtroom.

O’Neill read a note from the jury indicating  “that we the jury are deadlocked on all counts”.

O’Neill responded to the Jury by thanking them for their “courageous acts” and deliberating about 52 hours. “I feel bad for all of you,” he told jurors. “I will forever hold you dear in my heart and be grateful for what you have done for the justice system.

Post this mistrial prosecutors announce they will retry the case. In response to that decision Camille Cosby had a few words to criticize the prosecutors:

“How do I describe the District Attorney? Heinously and exploitively  ambitious. How do I describe the judge? Overtly and arrogantly collaborating with the District Attorney. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Totally unethical. How do I describe many, but not all, general media? Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truths for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life.”

Ahead of the verdict Cosby’s publicist Andrew Wyatt stated that he was in great spirits “He’s just waiting like everyone else and looking forward to a positive outcome”.

Let’s hope the next trial awaits a  positive outcome!
