Philadelphia councilman David Oh was stabbed last night at his home while unloading his car around 9:30 pm according to NBC 10.

Councilman At-Large David Oh (R), 57, returned home in the Kingsessing section of the city after a long day at work and was unloading his car along the 5800 block of Thomas Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when an armed robber stabbed him in the side, police said

“The male is saying something to him. He can’t understand what he’s saying, so he engages the male in conversation momentarily,” police Lt. John Walker said.

Oh was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where doctors listed him in critical but stable condition. He was out of surgery Thursday morning and expected to recover, police said.

“He wants everybody to know he is OK, and he’s doing well,” Walker said.

No immediate arrest were made as the attacker ran off. We will bring you any updates as they happen, but we keep Councilman David Oh in our thoughts & prayers.
