PHILLY TO PAY $4.4 MILLION TO DELIVERYMAN SHOT BY POLICE
23-year-old Thomas Kline car was shot at 14 times by Philadelphia police officers when they were searching for a gunman in 2014. Now Kline will be receiving a $4.4 million settlement with the city of Philadelphia. Making this the largest settlement in the city’s history.
Since the incident he suffers from a seizure disorder and chronic pain from being shot in the head, face and leg.
2 INJURED IN CRASH IN CENTER CITY
A two-vehicle collision ended with a truck on its side on the 1500 block of Arch Street in Center City earlier this morning
Both victims are in stable condition.
Officials have not said whether slick roads played a role in the crash.
PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE TOLLS TO INCREASE ON SUNDAY
A 6 percent increase takes effect Sunday for cash and E-ZPass motorists along the 550-mile highway.
The turnpike commission says the money will help fund projects to rebuild and widen the turnpike as well as support Pennsylvania’s public transportation
