Earth Wind And Fire Wembley Arena

According to multiple sources, Earth, Wind & Fire’s Maurice White has died at the age of 74.

“Maurice died in L.A. after a long battle with Parkinson’s. He was diagnosed in 1992 and his condition deteriorated in recent months.  The disease had progressed to the point he was forced to stop touring in with the band 1994.”

They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Although Maurice wasn’t touring, he stayed involved with the band. Another musical legend lost in 2016. RIP!

Maurice White, singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, arranger and bandleader. He was the founder of the band Earth, Wind & Fire. He was also the older brother of current Earth, Wind & Fire member Verdine White, and former member Fred White.

Maurice served as the band’s main songwriter and record producer, and was co-lead singer.

White won seven Grammys, and was nominated for 21 Grammys in total.
