Bill O’ Reilly continued to critique the Black Lives Matter movement Tuesday, stating just hours after footage was released of a police officer shooting an unarmed teenager that “black on white” and “black on black” violence is the root of America’s problems.

Raw Story reports Reilly, along with FOX News host contributors Lis Wiehl and Kimberly Guilfoyle, discussed two recent cases out of Chicago and New Orleans that involved white victims.

Euric Cain was arrested after shooting hero medical student Peter Gold after he came to the aid of a woman who was being mugged by Cain. Gold has been listed in critical condition. The other shooting involved two men who were arrested for breaking into the home of a pastor and fatally shooting his pregnant wife, Amanda Blackburn.

The trio believes BLM has been silent on the shootings because it doesn’t match their focus.

Raw Story reports:

“African-American young males — I think it’s between 15 and 24 — commit way out of proportion crime to every other group,” the Fox News host told contributors Lis Wiehl and Kimberly Guilfoyle. “So Black Lives Matter, they run around and say American society is punishing and stalking young black men when the reality is young black men are doing far more damage than the police in Chicago.”

“When you have blacks that are killing this poor white woman, there’s no Black Lives Matter coming after them!” Wiehl exclaimed.

“If black lives matter, how come this group isn’t in the South Side of Chicago when every weekend you’ve got a couple of dozen black lives lost,” O’Reilly said. “And you know who’s killing them? Other blacks.”

Wiehl added that their outcry of police injustice can be viewed as a hate crime. She also claimed the group promotes violence by threatening to harm police officers, a move the right has nearly ran into the ground.

On the contrary, the Black Lives Matter movement has addressed crime in African-American neighborhoods. In a list of misconceptions about BLM, the group states:

The idea that black-on-black crime is not a significant political conversation among black people is patently false. In Chicago, long maligned for its high rates of interracial murder, members of the community created the Violence Interrupters to disrupt violent altercations before they escalate. However, those who insist on talking about black-on-black crime frequently fail to acknowledge that most crime is interracial. Ninety-three percent of black murder victims are killed by other black people. Eighty-four percent of white murder victims are killed by other white people. The continued focus on black-on-black crime is a diversionary tactic, whose goal is to suggest that black people don’t have the right to be outraged about police violence in vulnerable black communities, because those communities have a crime problem.
