State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced this morning that her office has also found probable cause to pursue criminal charges in connection to the case. She said that her review of the case found there had been no reason to detain Gray, and that his arrest was illegal.

“To the people of Baltimore and  the demonstrators across the country, I’ve heard your call for no justice, no peace, your peace is severely needed as I work to bring you justice for the death of Freddie Gray,” Mosby passionately stated.

We’re in love with her. This statement alone is enough to bring some form of comfort. “This is a moment, This is your moment, Let’s ensure we have peaceful rallies that ensure systemic changes in our future. Our time is now,” she concluded.

What we love most about her so far? In the Q&A following the statement, she told reporters that she’s not counting solely on what the police department provides. “I uphold the law and I will prosecute any case within my jurisdiction,” Mosby said.

We will keep updating this story with information about the charges.
