The foolishness that you’re about to read is so over-the-top ridiculous, all you can do is laugh or roll your eyes and keep it moving. State Representative and Republican Gene Alday revealed to The Clarion-Ledger some disparaging comments about Black people:

“‘[I’m] from a where all the Blacks are getting food stamps and what I call ‘welfare crazy checks. They don’t work.” He also described the scene in an ER with a highly stereotypical tone: “I liked to died. I laid in there for hours because they (Black people) were in there being treated for gunshots.”

Well, mistah Alday, us “Blacks” ain’t here for your one-dimensional and unfair outlook on us, and the best part about your comments is that apparently, they were supposed to be off the record. The interview with the Ledger was doomed from the start because he was asked to give his reason for not supporting increased funding towards necessary literacy programs. Doesn’t that already sound terrible?

Since his major flub, he hasn’t denied what he’s said (insert shocked emoji here), but wants us to magically believe he is not a racist. Seriously?!

He told the Mississippi News Now: “I am definitely not a racist, at all. Because, I mean, I get along with everybody. And I’ve spent a lot of time helping people.” He then reached deeper into his pocket and blamed the quotes as “out of context” on Ledger journalist Jerry Mitchell. The interview, he just took me out of context. He asked for one thing and started asking another thing.” Nope. Not buying it! Can it still be out of context if you stand by what you said? And how are you helping people if you can’t even support better ways of teaching our youth to read and write?

For a good laugh, Alday also said: “Yes, it’s true that most of the Blacks in my hometown are on welfare,” Alday told the newspaper. “But they’re good people. I don’t have anything against anybody. I’m a straight-up guy. In my little town they had little civil rights walks and I was with them. I’m with everybody.”

BRUH! Just. Stop. Talking.

For good measure, we will include this statement from Governor and fellow GOP member, Phil Bryant, who wanted to make it clear he doesn’t rock with Alday: “In this day and time to be able to make those racially charged remarks is just unfounded. And it is something that we in the party, Republican Party, totally reject.”

REJECT! What do you think beauties? Sound off on this idiot in the comments below.
