Heartbroken, upset, confused are some of the words that come to mind as I reflect on how it felt when the news came years ago that Allen Iverson had been traded to the Denver Nuggets. Like many of our outstanding athletes, at some point we strip away the emotional support and start viewing the player for what they produce on the court. In Iverson’s case it was a lack of production on the court as well as a lack of professionalism and the way he conducted himself off the court. (practice effort amongst other things)

One of the reasons many Iverson supporters were upset over the trade at the time was due to a perception that he was being moved to allow the new AI (Andre Iguodala) grow.

Philadelphia 76ers fans are now five years removed from the trade and have yet to see that growth that was suppose to come from Iverson not being here to dominate the ball. The question now, is have the 76ers new ownership decided to go in another direction that doesn’t include Iguodala.

The question hasn’t officially been asked but there is definitely a lack of support for the so called Franchise player. How can I say this? All it takes is a look at the print ads that grace the pages of some of our local papers.

In Mondays Metro, page 7 to be exact there was a full page ad for ticket sales that had Evan Turner, Jrue Holiday, Lou Williams and Jodie Meeks pictured. Where is Iguodala? Even if you say Elton Brand isn’t pictured it doesn’t explain how the Sixers could purposely omit there own Team USA player, unless they don’t expect him to be around?

Talk to me Philly, are the Sixers about to move Andre Iguodala?
