On a weekend filled with wonderful things to be thankful for Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles brought Eagles fans out of the holiday spirit with a pathetic 38-20 loss Sunday afternoon.

Andy Reid has been a great head coach for the Eagles, and is by far the best Head Coach the Eagles have ever had. Yet, the all in modo of this organization coming into this season hasn’t been matched on the field or in the coaches offices.

Mistakes in coverage assignments, Nate Allen, dropped passes, DeSean Jackson, and bone headed play calls, Andy Reid have worn on the patience of faithful Eagles fans. Its hard to stay committed to an organization that praises poor coaching or doesn’t care about winning as long as their registers keep ringing like pin ball machines.

The propaganda machine will be out in full force trying to make everyone believe that the season isn’t over yet. The truth is, it isn’t over. The Eagles haven’t been mathematically eliminated yet. The reality of this 4-7 record is that this team, under this coach, is not capable of winning five straight games in order to be in position for a lucky break and back door opportunity into the playoffs.

Maybe I’m being to harsh, but as a former college football player and coach, I can see lack of motivation by players and lack of preparation by coaches. What has me irritated the most, is that Deion Branch and Tom Brady beat us the same way they did in the 2005 Super Bowl loss.

Please let us know your opinion.

Is the season over?

Should Jeffrey Lurie fire Andy Reid right away and let Marty Mornhinweg finish the season as the interim coach?
