We’re a week past Halloween but the Eagles versus the Bears game from last night seemed like a roller coaster ride reserved for one of the amusement parks in our area.  From the very start of the game Eagles fans emotions were sent plummeting as the Chicago Bears came out and drove the length of the field for a touchdown.

Shortly after, the Eagles offense drove the field, on their second offensive possession they turned the ball over as they started to pick up momentum. Our Eagles seem to have a problem on offense with turnovers against good teams. The early turnover gave the Bears a 10-0 second quarter lead.

As every roller coaster goes down and then up, the Eagles stormed back with a quick 10 point spurt to tie the game up with just under 2 minutes left in the first half. You would think the scoring would be done for the half. Not at all. We said this game was a roller coaster ride fit for one of the amusement parks in our are, not a playground carnival.

After a great stop by our defense the Bears were forced to punt the ball. Desean Jackson has always been a playmaker as a punt returner but that big play ability cost the Eagles as he fumbled the ball near the goal line, which led to a 13-10 halftime lead for the Bears.

The second half was more of the same as the Eagles took an early third quarter lead only to give it right back to the Bears for the last time of the night.

There is a huge lesson that needs to be learned from this 30-24 loss. Our Philadelphia Eagles are an undisciplined bunch. Andy Reid needs to find a way to get them back to the basics or this season is over, if it already isn’t.
