Seventeen months after the death of Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston, her grave finally has its own headstone in Westfield, New Jersey, where she is buried next to her father the late John Russell Houston, Jr. in Fairview Cemetery.
The beautiful marble monument is shaped like a teardrop and is overlaid with a heart-shaped engraving of Whitney’s head. It features her name, as well as the dates of her birth and death. Underneath, “The Voice” is etched in capital letters, and below that, is the title phrase from her No. 1 hit song, “I Will Always Love You.”
Houston died on Feb. 11, 2012 in Beverly Hills, Calif. at the age of 48. Whitney is and will always be missed dearly to the music world, her family, friends and fans.
