This young lady was brought to my attention by my co-worker Scott Booker. I watched her YouTube performance of an Adele cover and I though “this girl is good.” As a result, she became the first recipient of my annual Dream Award; Deja received a cash award to help fund her dream to become a singer, a spotlight at Moshay Laren’s Wednesday night showcase at Warmdaddy’s in Philadelphia and a special guest performance at the next Kindred The Family Soul concert in Philly.
