It official, the world record for the longest soul train line is right here in Philly!
In honor of Don Cornelius and in memory of the late Whitney Houston, 100.3 WRNB set out to break the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Soul Train Line.” The previous record of 211 people was shattered as almost 350 people danced their way into the record books, becoming the largest crowd to ever gather for a Soul Train Line. People of all ages came out to the steps of the Art Museum of Philadelphia in support of the legacy Don Cornelius and to show the world, Philadelphia can be known for more than just violence. With over 2,000 people in attendance, DJ Touchtone keep the party warm amidst the freezing temperatures. Congrats to the city of Philadelphia and everyone involved that helped make this a huge success. Check out some of the highlights below… (Photog de’ blogzworth)
