Tribeca Film Fest nominated, “Down This Road”, is a tender melodrama about two lost souls: A kid (Brandon Ratcliff) seeks out his estranged dad (Paul Calderon) after fleeing his mother’s workplace with a wad of stolen bills. Father & his son reunite realizing sharing their pain, is better than facing life alone.
Director, Vinz Feller says of the short, “It’s about a tragic loss that one family experiences. It examines the results of grief and the pursuit of happiness. I believe in second chances, I believe in redemption, and I believe that we can learn to be better human beings even in the most difficult situations of our lives.
Inspired by a feature film currently in development and due for release in 2012, Down This Road, won for Best Fiction at the 30th Black Maria Film Festival recently.
