White Actress Will Play Holly Robinson-Peete’s Character In “21 Jump Street” Movie

Holly Robinson-Peete starred as the young and beautiful Officer Judy Hoffs on the late 80s FOX series 21 Jump Street.  In the upcoming film version, Officer Hoffs is undergoing an image change, from black female badass to white blonde female.

Singer/actress Brie Larson will be taking over the role in the upcoming film adaptation. It’s currently unknown if the characters in the film will retain the same names, but it’s obvious from the confirmed cast list that they are keeeping many of the same basic attributes for the characters, except for the role originated by Robinson-Peete.

Johnny Depp’s heart-throb character will be played by Channing Tatum. Peter DeLuise’s less Teen Beat friendly character will be played by Jonah Hill. Stephen Williams’ no-nonsense black captain character will be played by Ice Cube.
