7 Packers Players Questioned In Sexual Assault Case
Lake Delton police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in the Wisconsin Dells area. And police confirm that 7 Packers players were questioned early Saturday morning.
One of those players, who is unnamed at this point, is still under investigation while the remaining 6 have been released without suspicion of criminal activity.
According to Lake Delton police at 4:17 this morning officers responded to a 9-1-1 call made by two adult females, who claimed they were sexually assaulted. The women led officers to a rental condominium at the wilderness rest golf cabins where they say the alleged assault occurred.
Police took seven men from the condo to the police station and all were cooperative in interviews, according to police. Six of the seven were allowed to leave immediately after the interviews and are not suspected of criminal activity. The 7th person was released but is still under investigation.
Police say that person is a member of the packers organization, but they are not yet releasing his name. Police say the female subjects claim they were assaulted while the unnamed male claims it was not an assault but that their activity was consensual.
Those players questioned and cleared of wrong-doing are Matt Flynn, Clay Matthews, Josh Sitton, Korey Hall, Brad Jones, and Khalil Jones.
Attempts to reach the Packers for comment on this story were not immediately returned.
