Nas says that he is going through “hell” just to see his new born son!

 Nas recently spoke about his strained relationship with Kelis and the issues he is having seeing their son, Knight.

Kelis and Nas married in 2005, but the “Milkshake” singer decided to divorce the rapper in April of 2009, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

In July of 2009, during the court proceedings, Nas and Kelis had a son together named Knight.

Since then, the pair have been in and out of court, fighting over back child and spousal support bills.

In March, Nas was ordered to pay over $87,000 in back child and spousal support, in addition to the $10,000 a month in spousal support, as well as an unknown amount in monthly child support payments.

Last week, Nas told the court that he could not afford to make the monthly payments Kelis each month and asked a judge to recalculate the amount based on his current earnings.  

In a new interview with Vibe, Nas revealed that he is going through “hell” just to see his new born son, who is already crawling. My son was born with ice grills, so when his mom feels in the mood she sends pictures,” Nas told Vibe. “If not, its hell. It’s hell trying to figure that out, trying to get him—I’ll just leave it at that. It’s hell. A man shouldn’t go through that s**t, but it’s another story I’ma tell at a different time.”

Nas stated that he is in the studio working on material for a new, upcoming untitled solo album.

His new album with Damian Marley is titled Distant Relatives and is due in stores on May 18th.
