Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Ideas
Today is Mother’s Day and you forgot. You should be ashamed! On the real, you aren’t alone. Luckily, stores like Walmart and Target will be open, but expect them to be busy with everything picked over. Today you might have to “think outside the box” to avoid having to give mom a rainbow colored bear holding fake plastic roses (okay when you are 5…when you are 35, not so much…)
Here are some thoughtful ideas –
1) Buy a nice poster frame. Go home and scan in pictures of you growing up with your mom and make them into a nice collage. (Seriously, this is one of those holidays where the thought really does count!)
2) Buy her a gift card to her favorite restaurant
3) Make her a personalized gift basket. Purchase a basket and fill it with all the things you know she will love.
4) If the mother in your life is a Hip-Hop and R&B fan, pick up some tickets for SUPERJAM. Some of the best gifts are the ones that cause anticipation for another event.
Mother’s Day flowers are also a very common gift. On the big day, expect to pay double or triple to some florists. Choose fun spring flowers over roses to avoid a canned “I forgot” look.
We hope you didn’t forget about Mother’s Day – but if you did (or just procrastinated) we hope we’ve helped you find a great idea for mom this year.
