Ol' Dirty BastardToday would have marked the 42nd birthday of the Wu-Tang Clan’s Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

Known for his off-kilter and unpredictable personality, ODB was one of the most unique and loved figures in all of hip-hop history.

The man who once called himself “Big Baby Jesus” knew how to leave a mark, whether it was through fathering 13 children or his impossible to duplicate style of rapping.

Dirt Dawg’s television presence was just as unique as his music, and we’ve compiled a brief list of 5 of the craziest and best moments in ODB Television History.

5. ODB’s Vs. Community Service

While promoting the song “Ghetto Superstar,” his collaboration with Pras and Mya,  the trio stopped by MTV to perform the song and take a few questions from viewers that called in.  One viewer in particular called in to ask about what ODB is doing to give back to the community.  His brief, honest, and unapologetic answer:  “Nothin…”

4. MTV News Interview Outtakes

All we gotta say is “N*GGA PLEEEEEEEEEASE!”

3. Ol’ Dirty Bastard on “Box Talk”

Ol’ Dirty Bastard walks the streets of New York with the RZA… and ODB busts a freestyle in which he references Jim Croce and salamanders in less than 15 seconds.  Classic.

2. Ol’ Dirty Bastard Picks Up His Food Stamps In A Limo

This is one of those moments in television that have to be seen to believed.  Surrounded by his wife and kids, ODB’s interviewed in the back of a limo while on the way to pick up food stamps. He also talks about the times (Ed note: “Times” plural, mind you) he caught gonorrhea.

1. Sorry, Kanye I’ma Let You Finish, But ODB Had The Greatest Stage Crash Of All Time.  OF ALL TIME!

After losing to Puff Daddy (as he was known back then) earlier in the evening, ODB bumrushes the stage at the 1998 Grammy’s to let everyone know his disappointment.

Honorable Mention:

ODB’ Takes A Dump.

No… seriously…
